If noise canceling feature is the main reason behind this purchase you should look elsewhere. Price was a good bargain. Earpiece is small and fits nicely. Only other downside is battery life. Good features. It was marketed as noise canceling, but people on the other side of the line have complained about background noise. My last earpiece lasted several days without having to charge. This one only lasts one or two days at most.Depending on the needs, this may or may not be a good deal for the buyer.
The clarity and the volume are excellent. I really like the BlueAnt Z9i. The major problem that I have with the BlueAnt is that the earpiece that goes over the ear to hold the bluetooth in place is too long and makes the BlueAnt stick out a little from the lower ear. Amazon offers it at a great price. I checked around before ordering from Amazon. All in all, it is a very good bluetooth. I recommend it.
In theory the Blueant z9i should work both with a laptop and with a phone. More often than not, I find myself having to delete the device pairing from the laptop or the phone and starting from scratch. After a little fiddling, I was able to get it to work with both. But the pairing and connections are unreliable. I don't know whether the problem is the BlueAnt, the phone, the laptop, or Windows, and don't feel like trying to debug it. If you want something that just works without hassle, this may not be what you're looking for.
I ordered the Blue Ant X5i from Shopcell - an Amazon market place vendor. I highly doubt their product warranty means anything to them or - or even if they will stand behind it. - send it back to the seller.".When I mentioned the description says - brand new and it arrived in new packaging his answer didn't change.
My first step was to call "BLUEANT" customer support (North America). Then I asked about their product warranty - I even have a product warranty card - he said, "call the seller first or return it to them.". While the product was delivered promptly enough, alas - it wouldn't even switch on.
At this point - it became pretty obvious that he'd lost all interest in the call and wanted to just get me off the phone. After a moderate wait I was able to get a live support rep. We went over diagnostics, but within the first minute of the call, his question was "How much did you pay for this product.".When I answered $30 on Amazon.com - his response was " Must have been refurbished.
What kind or condescending product support/warranty is this - product support has no business asking about product price. Their product support and brand standards are probably just like their product - substandard and indifferent
don't be put off by the brand name, which you, and i, have never heard of before seeing it on amazon. this is my second blue tooth, my first one was this cheap o samsung whose ear loop broke 4 weeks after i bought it. the battery lasts me about 48 hours, 24 if i use it heavily, as in 4-5 hours of talking, it is light, and after the very first hour of wearing it, i forget i'm wearing it: i'll lay down in bed and start scratching my ear and then realize i'm still wearing my headset. this one has a much sturdier design, and much sleeker too. i would definitely recommend buying this, after using it for a few months. it has a modern formal look, that is good for wall street and the club.the few pitfalls of the device are: it's shiny body may get scratched if you throw it across the room onto your desk, which i have done and will not do again, and after you unplug it from the charger, the device turns off, so you have to remember to turn it back on. but once you get into the habit, it is easy to remember.Verdict: get one.
